"You have a write to your opinion."

A Man of His Words

Words shaped my life through a tortuous childhood of memorizing long passages of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (a mouthful just with the name) and diagramming sentences at age six (or maybe ten).

When I have run out of ideas for my own writing, I write other's ideas for them (kind of like getting a job driving a charter bus since you can't afford to travel on your own).

I have taste tested several careers from newspaper and radio to small business ownership and stock market daytrading. My niche has always been writing. When I am not writing (which is rare) I am talking. I am an ordained minister in Neosho, Missouri where I speak regularly. My love for words has also led me to learn basic Spanish and even dabble with Greek and Hebrew.

I have lived in or visited all 48 continental states, a couple other countries, and now Missouri (yes, in it's own category). Here in the stomping grounds of Langston Hughes, Thomas Hart Benton, and Jesse James, I abound with legendary stimulus. This rural setting lends inspiration (and alergic reactions) with blooming daffodils, redbuds, and lilacs.

Best of all, I love to spend my free time (what's that?) with my wife and children. Yes, they do see a therapist regularly to deal with the dysfunction of having a writer in the home.
